Artists fresco technique to create these unique picture frames:
1. The artist starts with an unfinished 3 inch solid wood high quality frame.
2. She applies plaster in several layers and sands to desired smoothness.
3. Then in pure egg tempera, made from crushed stone and egg yolk, she creates a fresco finish in several layers of luminous natural color. Some of the minerals used are natural ochers and earths which she hand selects in Italy and France. read more about egg tempera
4.Frames are sealed with archival non-yellowing varnish
These frames have beautiful luminous color because of the natural earth pigments used. They are exclusively available only from Linda Paul Studio.
How to Measure for your custom frame: When ordering your frame, give the exact measurements of your artwork. We will add 3/16" to frame opening. Sales on custom sized picture frames are final.
