This rose painting was first sculpted in very low relief before being painted in pure egg tempera made from crushed stone & egg yolk. For my ocher colors I use only natural ochers from the French quarries of Gargas and Rustrel, nested in a 12 miles long enclave, in the heart of the Luberon Mountains. The blue color is pure crushed lapis lazuli & the soft greens come from the earth around Verona Italy and from Bavaria.

We recently purchased 3 of your paintings (2 originals and 1 print) and we are extremely pleased with all of them. The colors are extremely vibrant and add so much character to the rooms in which they hang. The website photos looked great but when the real things arrived, we were overwhelmed by the quality.
