About this contemporary artwork:
The center of the artwork is a 14" x 32" beveled glass mirror with a
great blue heron in beveled glass relief. In
the picture (above left) you can see the
reflection of sky, fields and the Rocky
Mountains behind the artist's studio. The glass of the
bird has been gilded by artist Linda Paul on
the back in 24 karat gold, pure copper leaf
and silver . The glass shimmers and reflects
light like jewels. Surrounding the
mirror is both gold and copper backed hand gilded beveled glass with inlaid flecks of 23 karat gold
and copper. The pieces of beveled glass and center mirror are mounted on a
3/4"" thick cradled board. The sides are hand-painted in a copper color.
This ready to hang frameless contemporary artwork can be a focal point for any room in your house. It can even take the humidity of a bathroom . As the light changes in the room so does the artwork. Its especially pretty with candlelight reflected into the glass.

Decorating with mirrors:
Mirrors are a key design element in
contemporary decor. They add light through the
reflections and make a room appear larger. The
frameless look is clean and contemporary.
Cleaning is a breeze! Just use Windex and a soft cloth. (Its best to spray the glass cleaner on the cloth rather than directly on the artwork)
